Hispanic Heritage at Ballparks.
Honoring Robinson Cano, NY Yankees, Jose Contreras Chicago White Sox
And Rafael Furcal, LA Dodgers
New York – Latinobaseball.com, the premier website on Ballplayers of
Hispanic descent will celebrate Hispanic Heritage month in Dodger
Stadium (9/17), US Cellular Field (9/23), and Yankee Stadium (9/30)
by honoring the “Latino Player of the Year” on each of the home
teams during a pre-game presentation.
The awards will be presented to Robinson Cano of the New York
Yankees, Jose Contreras of the Chicago White Sox and Rafael Furcal
of the LA Dodgers for their on-field contributions to their playoff
bound teams.
“These players deserve this award and for it to occur during
Hispanic Heritage month elevates the excitement of our communities
during such a meaningful time”, explained Ralph Paniagua, publisher
of Latinobaseball.com.
The Hispanic Heritage Day at the Ballparks has been implemented by
R. Paniagua Inc. for more than 12 years at most of the stadiums
located in key latino markets.
“Now with the continued growth of latinobaseball.com, fans have a
great place to learn of the history and legacy of Latinos in
baseball. And this legacy continues in the young stars of today”
said Beto Villa, Editor of LB.
The event is sponsored by Johnnie Walker Black in all 3 stadiums.
The American Dairy Association will also sponsor the Yankee Stadium
event. They will host suites at each Stadium for local business
leaders. A Black and White photo exhibit of “100 years of Caribbean
Baseball” will also be presented.
“With the latinobaseball site, fans can also see the photo gallery,
the list of every latino who has played in baseball since 1900 and
the stats of their favorite players of today” stated Beto Villa.
