New York City-May 20, 2012: R. Paniagua Inc., publishers of LatinoBaseball.com will present the 22nd annual Hispanic Achievement Awards (H.A.A.) at Yankee Stadium on Sunday May 20, 2012. H.A.A honors and celebrates the very best 20 Latino middle school students from the five boroughs of New York City. H.A.A's program has proven to be a motivating experience not only for the children but for their parents, and educators alike with several past recipients having gone on to attend Ivy league Universities such as; Oxford and Harvard.
Ballots are distributed to all middle school principals for their voting nominations of their top Latino students one month prior to the ceremonies. The honored student will be feted along with two of their guest in a Stadium suite which will include all of the baseball trimmings. The students will be presented on the field prior to the start of the 1:05pm game between the New York Yankees-vs-Cincinnati Reds.
Also Dominican Yankee Star Robinson Cano will be awarded "The Citizens Award" for his outstanding contribution to the Latino community both in the US and Dominican Republic.

Since 1988, H.A.A., has been committed to inspiring Latino students to become exceptional leaders. In addition to honoring the top students, a special Citizen Award will be presented to one of the Yankee ball players for their contribution and commitment to the Latino Community. The H.A.A has been funded by New York-Presbyterian Ambulatory Care Network and also by The Dominican Republic Tourism, Pay-O Matic/Western Union, Health Plus, and Cibao Meats.

Hispanic Achievement Awards Honors Top Latino Students at Yankee Stadium and Marlins Park
May 30, 2012-New York City: The 22th annual Hispanic Achievement Awards (H.A.A.) held this month on May 20th, 2012 in New York’s Yankee Stadium and on May 27th, 2012 in South Miami-Florida’s Marlin Park, honored the top public school students in academic acheivement. The events hosted by Ralph Paniagua, feted the students and their families at a stadium suite which included all the baseball trimmings.
In addition to celebrating their academic acheivements,Yankee and Marlin stars Robinson Cano and Emilio Bonifacio were awarded the “Citizen Player of the Year Award” for their outstanding contribution to the Latino community both in the U.S. and the Dominican Republic.
Joining Ralph Paniagua in presenting the awards in New York City were, Robert Wychulis, CEO of Healthplus Amerigroup, Lucien Echevarria, U.S. Northeast Director of Dominican Republic Tourism and in Florida honoring the Dade County’s top Latino students were Gonzalo Gonzalez of BVK representing the Dominican Republic Tourism.
