Latinos play decisive role in Marlins win

For the first time since 1997, the Florida Marlins won a series from the San Francisco Giants at the Bay. The Latinos on the team were of great importance in the series; especially Venezuelan Miguel Cabrera who connected homeruns in every game of the series, and guided the Marlins in the decisive game with a victory of 4-1 in the game pitcher, A.J. Burnett impressed and also connected for a home run. The Dominican Jose Encarnación added two RBI’s and Florida won two out of the three games. This is the first time the Marlins win a series in San Francisco since 1997 when they won the wild card of the National League and won the World Series. During the series Miguel Cabrera hit is 23rd home run and in the game the Marlins won 16-4, Cabrera and Carlos Delgado hit back to back home runs another Latino, Mike Lowell also had three RBI’s. The Marlins had 20 hits and scored ten runs for the second time this month they have won 4 out of their last five games.
